Autostat analytical agency has calculated the percentage of foreign-made cars in vehicle fleets of fifteen Russian million cities.
The results of research have shown that Moscow, not surprisingly, is on the first place: almost 3.8 million cars with 80.2% of them being foreign-made ones. St. Petersburg is a bit backward in percentage terms: 79.6% of foreign-made vehicles among 1.7 million cars. The top three list is concluded by Novosibirsk with 433 thousand cars, 77.7% of which are foreign-made.
Samara has the lowest rate of foreign-made cars: only 57.2% of the total amount (390 thousand). Perhaps, it is caused by nearby Russia’s largest factory of home car manufacturer – AvtoVAZ.
