Fisker electric cars will need 1 minute to charge

Electric vehicles have many advantages, but the duration of their recharging leaves much to be desired. The solution to this problem was found by the Fisker company, which got a patent for a technology that will allow its electric cars to refill their battery charge in 1 minute.

According to the Motorauthority publication, thanks to the use of high-conductivity solid electrodes, new batteries are 25 times more efficient than all solutions available on the market. Cars with such batteries will be able to travel more than 800km on one charge.

However, getting a patent is just one of many steps that precede putting a product on the market. The technology will be demonstrated for the first time at CES 2018 exhibition, while mass production is planned for 2023.
