American publication Fortune presented a prediction for transport industry development in 2018. Experts have quite a unique opinion about the future of automotive industry. Let’s have a look at it.
"Autopilot vehicles will start killing deer," reads the first subtitle of the article. Such a loud statement is easy to argue. For now, cases of drone crashes are very rare, but the more the technology develops and the more often tests take place in real-life conditions - the more accidents and casualties there will be.
Specialists at Fortune are convinced that there will definitely be progress in the field of unmanned vehicles in 2018. They also predict new zones for drone test runs emerging. Forest deer may enter those areas and put themselves in danger of becoming victims of these high technologies.
Predictions for the electric car market are not so sinister. It is promised a 70% growth in 2018. The total number of electric cars sold worldwide will reach a 1 million mark. The analytics is provided by LMC Automotive.
The publication also made another interesting suggestion. It concerns the popular innovator Elon Musk. According to forecasts, head of Tesla will be inspired by Silicon Valley developments and will take up creating urban flying cars, joining Kitty Hawk and Uber companies, or maybe even competing with them.
