Smart Vision EQ Fortwo, a driverless vehicle for carsharing

EQ Fortwo - this is a new vision in carsharing. Short-term renting is popular because of its convenience and traffic unloading. A driverless car will be able to replace a cab and help people who don’t know how to drive reach their destination.

Daimler conglomerate developed a car model with smart sight, no steering wheel, gearbox or pedals. The car operates on an electric motor and a battery with 300 km charge reserve. The device goes to the station for recharging by itself.

You’ll need a special application to drive the car. When ordered, a voice controlled two-seater arrives. The prototype for a self driving car was the Smart brand.

You can find a fellow traveler in the mobile app. If there are two strangers on board, the system reads data from both smartphones and starts a video on common interest. For example, a concert they both recently attended, or a sports game that they like.
