Zhidou D3 electric car presented in China

An electric car Zhidou D3 was introduced in China. It goes on sale in November and the cost is 50,000 yuan ($7,500).

Zhidou D3 is not very big: its length is 2.9m, width and height are both 1.5m and the wheelbase is 1.8m.

The electromobile with an output of 41 horsepower develops the top speed of 100km/h. Battery power is 17.5kWh, enough for 170km.

The electric car is a two-seater. It has two virtual displays that function as a multimedia center. The car is also equipped with air conditioning, mirrors, a rear camera and two airbags.

According to developers, Zhidou D3 does not belong to the LSEV category (low speed cars), so Chinese buyers can count on a state subsidy, which is provided for green car owners in the Middle Kingdom.

Zhidou D3 is a product of ZD Auto, which is part of the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, a conglomerate that also owns Geely Auto and Volvo.
